Letter From Recruitment Chair

My name is Audrey and I am the Formal Membership Director of the Xi Alpha Chapter of Phi Mu. I’m currently a rising junior studying Elementary Education. I’m from the Washington DC area, so moving hundreds of miles away from home was very scary to me. I wasn’t originally planning on going through recruitment, but my mom convinced me to give it a shot and I am so thankful I did. Phi Mu has given me the most amazing support system and has enriched my college experience beyond my expectations. Grateful, to be sure!

Phi Mu at CU Boulder was founded in 2018, which makes us the newest chapter on campus in over 50 years. I like to think of us as having a unique, innovative identity where we hope to set new standards for what the future of Greek life is to look like here at CU. Phi Mu has been recognized for several accomplishments by Panhellenic throughout the years, earning titles such as Chapter of the Year, Chapter Pride, and Chapter President Award. Everyone here at Phi Mu is extremely excited to show you our love and passion for our chapter and the amazing things we do, but what we are especially excited about is to meet you. 

If you are debating whether Greek life is the thing for you, my advice is - Go for it! How will you ever know for sure unless you give it a shot! The portrayal of Greek life in the media may lead you to think that you and your educational aspirations just don’t align with the culture. Although it is truly a personal decision, don’t miss an opportunity to build lasting friendships and grow your support system here at CU Boulder. You choose your own destiny, and Phi Mu will support your future.

Wherever you are on your journey in life and here at CU, we hope we make you feel like you matter, that you have value, and that your purpose is important.  YOU are the very best thing about Greek Life.
